Brothers and sisters in Yeshua,
Living The Covenant: The Power of Emunah
Introduction
“For you have been delivered by grace through trusting, and even this is not your accomplishment but YHVH’s gift.” - Ephesians 2:8 (CJB)
After understanding the importance of obedience in living the covenant, we now turn our attention to the role of emunah (faith). It is through emunah that we receive God’s grace and are able to walk in obedience.
Emunah: The Foundation of Obedience
“And without emunah it is impossible to please YHVH, because anyone who approaches him must believe that he exists and that he becomes a Rewarder to those who seek him out.” - Hebrews 11:6 (CJB)
Emunah is the foundation of our obedience to YHVH. It is the belief in YHVH and His promises that motivates us to keep His commands.
The Impact of Emunah
“Because everything which has YHVH as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our emunah.” - 1 John 5:4 (CJB)
Our emunah is not passive; it has a powerful impact. It is through emunah that we overcome the world and its challenges. It empowers us to live out the covenant in our daily lives.
Conclusion
“Therefore, just as you received the Messiah Yeshua as ADONAI, keep living your life united with him. Remain deeply rooted in him; continue being built up in him and confirmed in your emunah, the way you were taught, so that you overflow in thanksgiving.” - Colossians 2:6-7 (CJB)
As we continue to live the covenant, let us be rooted in Yeshua, built up in Him, and strengthened in our emunah. Let our lives overflow with thankfulness for the grace we have received through emunah.
Remember, it is through emunah that we are able to walk in obedience and live out the covenant. Let us continue to grow in our emunah and deepen our relationship with YHVH.
